Dear Friends,
As we enter 2009, we have much to be hopeful for. We have new beginnings ahead and so many
new choices for those of us who are gluten free, sugar free, dairy free and or vegan!
As many of you know, I have many food allergies, not just to gluten and dairy, but also to some nuts
and corn. I have learned to cook great meals so that I can feel great and enjoy the foods I prepare.
In today's world, more and more people and organizations are aware of the huge issues facing
many of us who choose to eliminate certain foods from our diets. I have found so many wonderful
and helpful websites as well as stores that now have designated Gluten Free/Allergy sections with a
host of wonderful products!
In 2008 I was honored to teach cooking classes at Bob's Red Mills in Milwaukie, Oregon, to be part
of a national cooking contest and to connect with so many like minded folks, who's goals are to bring
health and wellness to each and every one of us!
Please visit www.thewholegang.org for a wealth of great information and links to wonderful recipes
and more!
Ruth Chant offers "menuinabox.com" this year, and I can't wait to see all the great ideas she has to
offer.
I could go on and on, but if you are reading this, you already know. The word is out, gluten free
eating is good, and good for you!
Stay tuned for more information that will be coming your way. This year I am opening my cooking
classes to children between the ages of 7-12 and I hope that my classes will unleash their creativity
and energy in their kitchens!
2009 is going to be a great year. Make it happen!
Susan
